Kissing Peacocks
This piece of art is inspired by the inside-outside, and vice versa I’m always playing with wondrous versions of gardens and follies as a stage set, or caught in a moment in time.
Our very own Brighton Bandstand has become a symbol of our city and it’s featured here in another time when monkeys and peacocks wander a beautiful moonlight garden. The peacock has jumped out of the wallpaper that adorned the walls of Oscar Wilde’s hotel bedroom, where he spent his last days exiled in Paris.
This colourful, contemporary art print comes from a commissioned piece that was hand beaded with beetles and butterflies, all the leaves were hand-cut and collaged onto a Gold leaf Moon.
